Business Development Representative


GetThru is hiring a Business Development Representative to drive new business opportunities, support our revenue operations, and manage service delivery functions. This position will report to the Director of Revenue and offers a base salary, performance-based incentives, and competitive benefits.

This is a full-time, exempt position inside the collective bargaining unit.

What You’ll Do

As Business Development Representative at GetThru, you will:

1. Drive Outbound Lead Generation
- Research, identify, and contact prospective clients across higher education, nonprofits, and other sectors.
- Conduct multi-channel outreach (phone, email, social media) to generate leads and set meetings and demo appointments.
- Manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, regularly updating the CRM with accurate data and next steps.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue and other team members to refine outreach strategies and meet monthly/quarterly lead-generation goals.

2. Managed Texting Services
- Deliver peer to peer texting programs for large clients who use our managed texting services.
- Meet with large clients before and after managed texting campaigns to ensure those campaigns run smoothly and report on their results.

3. Support Sales Operations
- Assist with CRM data hygiene, proposal generation, and contract workflows to optimize the sales cycle.
- Contribute to client onboarding and follow-up tasks that ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) to gather insights and enhance managed service delivery.
- Participate in process improvements and documentation to bolster overall revenue team performance.

4. Relationship Building & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives to align on target prospects, messaging, and overall sales strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key prospects and share market feedback to help refine GetThru’s product offerings.
- Represent GetThru at virtual and in-person events as needed.


You should have / What we’re looking for

  • Experience with Outbound Sales: Demonstrated success in building, nurturing, and documenting outbound pipelines with minimal supervision. You're comfortable initiating contact and converting cold prospects into qualified opportunities.
  • Sales & Operations Skills: Familiarity with CRMs and MarTech tools (HubSpot, RocketReach, LinkedIn, GetThru, etc.) and a willingness to dive into new platforms to optimize our sales and marketing systems.
  • Hunter Mentality: Motivated by stretch goals, energized by cold outreach, and resilient in the face of rejection. You thrive on the challenge of building something from the ground up.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and contexts.
  • Organizational Agility & Ownership: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where roles often encompass broader responsibilities than at larger companies. You’re adaptable, proactive, and energized by the opportunity to wear multiple hats.
  • Team Mindset: Collaborative by nature and eager to work across departments to support shared goals. You value knowledge-sharing, clear communication, and contributing to a positive team culture.

Location 


This is a fully remote position, hiring in the U.S. You may work from anywhere if you have good internet and the work gets done!  Please note that you will be expected to work in U.S. time zones, wherever you are.


Compensation


  • Base salary will be $60,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
